The Smart Agro Hub is a competence centre in the field of smart agriculture, an ambitious and dynamic initiative of the Agricultural University of Athens in collaboration with innovative Greek companies in the fields of agrotechnology, supply chain, circular economy, energy and digital technology. The vision of Smart Agro Hub is to play a key role in the transition of Greek agriculture to the new digital era and the creation of new business opportunities in the agri-food and agri-culture sector. It is attempting something pioneering in Greek agriculture. The mission of Smart Agro Hub is to conduct applied and technological research that leads to new products and services with industrial, economic, and social impact in the agrifood sector, to play a key role in the transition of Greek agriculture to the new digital era, while creating new business opportunities in the agri-food sector and to create bridges between agro-technology companies, agricultural inputs and agricultural services, with the academic and research institutions towards the digital transformation of the sector.
